The No. 4 Blue Devils can move into a three-way tie for first place in the Atlantic Coast Conference with a win over the Eagles, who are tied for 10th and have the league’s worst overall winning percentage.

 Expect to see a few 3-pointers: Duke leads the ACC with 8.2 per game and Boston College ranks third at 7.2. Duke leads the series 9-1 since the 2005-06 season.

The Eagles' win came in Chestnut Hill and the three home losses were by an average of 4.3 points.

Duke has trailed at the half in three of its last four games.

Boston College Eagles (8-18): Freshman Ryan Anderson has put together three straight impressive outings, averaging 17.7 points and 7.7 rebounds and shooting 54.3 percent over that span. Anderson had 22 points and 10 rebounds in the last game against Maryland and improved his season average of 10.4 points. Over the last six games, Matt Humphrey is averaging 12.7 points and has scored in double figures five times. He is averaging 10.2 points and 3.5 rebounds. Dennis Clifford (9.3 points, 4.8 rebounds) and Lonnie Jackson (8.5 points) have also been steady freshmen performers.
