Third-ranked North Carolina Tar Heels puts its unblemished ACC mark and its building-record 27-game winning streak at the Dean E. Smith Center on the line when it hosts upset-minded Miami Florida Hurricanes.

The Tar Heels have won eight straight - all at home - since a loss to then-No. 1 Kentucky. Miami's last win against the Tar Heels was on Jan. 14, 2006 in Chapel Hill.

The Tar Heels have opened as 16-point favorites on SBG Global Sportsbook’s Live NCAA Basketball Odds.

Miami (FL) Hurricanes (9-5): The Hurricanes have been somewhat inconsistent in coach Jim Larranaga's first season, but they had won four straight before they just missed what would have been a key road win in Saturday's conference opener at Virginia. They rallied from a nine-point halftime deficit to take the lead with four minutes left, but Durand Scott missed a twisting layup in the final seconds.

North Carolina Tar Heels (14-2): The Tar Heels continue to lean on their dominant frontcourt. Harrison Barnes, Tyler Zeller and John Henson combined for 59 points in an 83-60 victory against overmatched Boston College on Saturday. The trio also makes North Carolina the top rebounding team in the nation with 46.8 per game. Point guard Kendall Marshall is the catalyst, though - his 10.1 assists per game are tied for the most in the nation.
