No. 1 Syracuse Orange kept rolling along, defeating Villanova, 79-66 to run its unbeaten streak to start the season to 18 games.
The Orange, who had 43 bench points, led by Dion Waiters' 20 in the win over the Wildcats, will try and equal the best start in program history when Syracuse hosts Providence at the Carrier Dome.
Providence Friars came into Tuesday's game winless in the Big East, but shocked No. 15 Louisville, 90-59. It was the Friars' biggest win ever over a ranked team and Bryce Cotton (27 points) led the way.
