It might be difficult for No. 2 Oklahoma State Cowboys not to look past a struggling Iowa State Cyclones team on Friday night and toward the Dec. 3 game with No. 5 Oklahoma in what will be the biggest game ever in the Bedlam series as it will likely be for the Big 12 title and a spot in the national championship game for the Cowboys. But first things first: OSU is a 27-point favorite over the Cyclones on Bodog Sportsbook’s Friday Night NCAA Football Odds with live betting available.

The Pokes (10-0, 7-0) are a lock for the BCS National Championship Game if they win this week and next. And they look unstoppable, ranking No. 2 in the nation in scoring offense (51.7 ppg) and passing behind Heisman candidate QB Brandon Weeden. Scarily, that offense is humming along ever better right now, averaging 59.0 points in the past three games.
Last week, OSU embarrassed Texas Tech 66-6 – the same Red Raiders team that won at Oklahoma. Weeden threw for 423 yards and five touchdowns in less than three full quarters. WR Justin Blackmon had six catches for 102 yards and two scores. He leads the nation in TD catches with 14 and has had 32 catches for 480 yards and six touchdowns in the last three games. It was the worst loss in TTU history and the most points the Red Raiders have ever allowed. The Cowboys have won 10 straight road games.
Iowa State (5-4, 2-4) has rallied from a four-game skid with back-to-back victories, but the Cyclones need one more victory to get bowl eligible and they must still play ranked teams Oklahoma and Kansas State. ISU has been off since beating Kansas 13-10 on Nov. 5. Freshman QB Jared Barnett, now 2-0 as a starter, ran for 125 yards on 22 carries and threw for another 175 yards, completing 16 of 30 passes with one interception. But here’s a bad omen: The Cyclones rank last in the Big 12 in scoring defense.
OSU has won two straight in this series by a combined score of 93-25, but the teams haven’t met since 2009. Pokes are 6-1 ATS in past seven Big 12 games. Favorite is 6-0 ATS in past six meetings in this series.
